A romantic gift bestowed upon my grandmother, Norah’s cottage has been in our family for over 40 years and we are delighted to share it’s charm with you. Situated on Omey Beach, a seemingly endless stretch of sand with enormous, ever changing skies, there is nowhere more beautiful to while away your days and recharge your batteries.

Dine with Us
We can prepare evening meals for those evenings when you just want to chill out and enjoy the view in comfort. Our meals are simple, hearty, fuss free and above all delicious. Please enquire for a list of options. Orders to be made 24 hrs in advance.
Picnics
We can prepare picnic backpacks to take on your intrepid adventures. Menus are changeable but will include a flask of soup, gourmet sandwiches, a sweet treat and a choice of soft drinks or water. Orders to be made 24 hrs in advance.
Pubs, restaurants and shops
Our friendly local pub Sweeney’s is a 10 minutes walk from the cottage. The local post office and grocery shop can be found here too. Clifden, which is a fifteen minute drive offers a greater choice of pubs offering live music, restaurants and supermarkets.
Bikes
There are bike rentals available in Clifden which we can help you organise. We will be delighted to point you toward some of our favorite trails, pubs and restaurants accessible on two wheels.
Read Widely
Our small library offers plenty to read. Check out as many as you’d like, as often as you’d like and feel free to swap yours with one of ours.
Little ones
Claddaghduff and it’s surrounding areas offer a wealth of rock pools and sandy beaches for your little ones to play on and gives them a sense of freedom which can be rarely enjoyed in today’s world. We have aimed to make Norah’s cottage as child friendly as possible and offer a travel cot, a co-sleeping crib and high chair. Please enquire about other equipment as we may be able to facilitate.
